I have fibromyalgia, and am human being treated for stomach ulcers due to H-pylori; thot I be doing better this week, painwise. But a "friend" insists that fibro makes a entity overly-sensitive to pain, and, also according to him, since the stomach is a muscle organ, I am overreacting to the niggle.....I am really getting tired of hearing that coping beside fibro and arthritis is simply a mind over matter piece..its depressing enuf to keep trying to function and run care of my elderly parents, too. OK, I'm done whining in a minute! Lol!Is the stomach considered a muscle organ?
Unless your "friend" is a doctor (and a neurologist at that), he has no clue what he's conversation about. Stick next to what your doctor says - and conceivably find a new friend.
The stomach and bowel are smooth muscles not contractile. They are inervated by the para sympathetic diffident system.
Next ulcers can be weakening from the pain, if your discomfort is still so intense you might consider trying new medication such as protonix or nexium. I am not sold on fibromyalgia so I can not really answer your questions concerning the disease. It is a very inexactly diagnosed disease.
I have have arthritis now for several years and found something that worked wonders for me, I'm spreading the word out to adjectives those like me who own arthritis and may find some true relief, its a dietary supplement sold overseas call CMO, and here is where I found it, hope this help.
